A rounded educational experience at this stage of your life will prepare you for the competitive world of work in the future. When you think of Sixth Form at Beaconsfield High School, think of learning so much more than the theory of A-Levels. We give you life skills, work knowledge and experience, and the tools to thrive. For more information, you can contact the Sixth Form Team directly here and you can download a copy of the Sixth Form Prospectus here.

Meet the Director of Sixth Form

We have a strong sixth form and welcome 180 students into Year 12 every year. Entering the sixth form is an exciting next phase of a student’s career and we are here to guide and support you as you make some very important decisions about your future.

Our supportive community, in which everybody is valued as an individual, means you can expect the highest level of care in every aspect of school life. Each year, the vast majority of our students go onto study at Russell Group or top universities and students interested in applying for Oxbridge, medical, dental or veterinary schools are coached and supported though this very specific process.

Whichever route you decide to take - degree, degree-level apprenticeship or the world of work - we are there to support and guide you every step of the way. Whilst academic success is of paramount importance, we also strive to provide an enjoyable and stimulating environment for every student.

Beyond the classroom there are many extra-curricular activities for you to enjoy, but we also encourage sixth formers to take the initiative and set up their own clubs and societies for their peers and younger students. We believe students who are happy and challenged will discover they are capable of much more than they ever believed possible. A sixth form education at Beaconsfield High means students leave us with greater independence, resilience and aspirations for their future, and ready to embrace the exciting challenges which lie ahead.

Our A-Level Programme

The Beaconsfield High School A-Level programme blends academia with leadership, creativity, teamwork, activity, participation and independent thinking. We believe it is this combination of learning and involvement that prepares you for your next step. Our staff, highly proficient, talented and with broad life experience, prefer a respectful and collaborative approach to working with Sixth Form students. Your contribution to developing your future self is maturity, hard work, commitment and dedication. With a big splash of fun.

Our learning environment plays a huge part in the development of our students, from university-grade science laboratories and ICT-enabled classrooms, to a fully equipped sports suite, multi-subject computer rooms, design studio, food technology rooms and large art spaces. We are constantly investing in our facilities to ensure our students excel, whatever the subject.

We know that preparing for your next step in life takes a combination of many focus areas. Your goal may be to join an Oxbridge college or one of the revered Russell Group universities. Perhaps you want to follow your heart into a creative profession or step straight into an apprenticeship or work. Whatever your career plan or budding ideas for your future we have the skills, experience and know-how to get you there, with a portfolio of subjects to give you a strong, comprehensive grounding that opens doors.
